Working in partnership with Energy Star, CRL2 is attempting to provide a foundation of eco-friendly and energy efficient features for the environmentally conscious.

Superior Walls – CRL2 is providing Superior Walls, pre-engineered high strength pre-cast concrete wall panels with built in insulation providing your home with an excellent thermal envelope, minimizing the potential for energy leakage, giving you a great foundation for energy conservation. Research indicates that an un-insulated basement can account for over 33% of the total heat loss in your home. That is why our foundations feature a continuous layer of insulation to help reduce energy costs.

WaterSense – is a voluntary public-private partnership program sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The Cimarron Comfort Height 1.28 toilet with Class Five EcoSmart technology, standard in each bathroom, has acquired the WaterSense label. The WaterSense label, means this toilet uses at least 20 percent less water than standard 1.6-gallon toilets while still meeting strict flushing performance guidelines. Each home also features WaterSense Faucets.
ENERGY STAR – CRL2 is taking advantage of a Grant from the Department of Energy by engaging in a detailed process with the Energy Coordinating Agency of Philadelphia to certify each home in this development as Energy Star Qualified. These homes include Energy Star appliances, light fixtures and windows, increased insulation, efficient heating and cooling equipment and additional energy-saving features that will make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes. This qualifies home buyers for mortgage incentives as well.

Tankless Water Heaters – You don't use hot water 24 hours a day, but with a standard water heater, you heat and reheat the same water…even when you're sleeping. Tankless water heaters, standard in each home, using the latest in gas technology, heats water on-demand and delivers an endless supply of hot water for as long as you need it.
“Solar Ready” – Having your house solar ready greatly reduces the future labor cost of installing solar. If solar isn’t designed into a home when it’s built, chances are it won’t be added later or the addition will cost much more and be more invasive to the homeowner. Pennsylvania is planning to announce a grant program for solar that may pay up to 50% of the cost of installing solar. Why not be ready for it?
